Beautiful Stitches; a poem
Beautiful Stitches
By Melinda Lea Tharpe
October 23, 2007
How can I start
With a life unraveling?
Beautiful stitches
Falling to the floor,
Unlooping and piling,
No longer forming,
Needing hands to create
Again
What was enamored.
Spooling and tearful
I gather up what was
And give to you,
An auspicious gift
To be reanimated
With heartening hands.
