Self-Help: Finding Hope in Challenging Times

December 26, 2010 Holly Gray

hya-molander-namwWidowed at 29, during her second pregnancy, Hyla Molander was overwhelmed by grief so profound her body threatened to cease functioning. Hyla survived her most challenging times, at least in part because of the support and love she received. But she also knew she wouldn't recover without finding hope, the most basic and essential of self-help strategies.

Listening to this episode of the HealthyPlace Mental Health Radio Show, I'm reminded that we all need help to get through challenging times. But we need self-help too. Listen as Hyla Molander discusses finding hope during her own dark times.

As much as I hate suffering I think it can make us kinder, more compassionate human beings. Having a mental illness has made me less judgemental. I am so blessed that I have family and friends who love me.
Listening to Abraham hicks on YouTube helps me get through rough times as well.
Hayla I am sorry for your loss and I am glad you were able to make it especially for your children.
