My basic history
Well I just discovered this site and will recomend it to others.
So here is my story: I started having problems in my teenage years and at 16 I went inpatient for 3.5 months (Jan, 87 - May, 87). I was diagnosed with bipolar and did well with treatment until I became distraught with being there. This came after almost 3 months then it all went to hell. That fall I did not want anything to do with HS and proceeded to acquire my GED.
I then went too working misc. jobs ( a couple restaurants, some temp. mfg. positions, I also meandered a lot). By my mid 20's I started working somewhat steady and in my late 20's held a decent job for 3 years. I grew tired of the atmosphere and finally quit. I went on to auto salvage, electrical apprentice, machine operator, then automation technician. My back took its final beating as a technician because of the contorting of my body and constant slipping on coolant.
I was awarded SSI disability in my early 30's and then went on medical leave from my technician job and have not been employed since. I went through lumbar spinal fusion and managed to heal somewhat. I then married for the first and only time to Tina whom had a son Pierce (now 10). In my mid 30's I did try my hand at remodeling homes for a bit but just could not get started right and still having to be physical was killing me!
Now in my late 30's I have not done much other than go down hill and fast. I love working with my hands and have such a passion for remodeling homes the right way that I cry because I can not seem to figure out "how to" get into business for myself. Currently Tina is in school for accounting and I sit around the house taking care of Kid's, chores, and cooking.
