Am I Hypomanic or Happy?
Am I hypomanic or happy? For those of us with bipolar 2 disorder, we often ask ourselves that question.
So what is the difference between hypomania and feeling happy? Recently, when I searched for the symptoms of hypomania, I came across descriptions that consisted of phrases such as, "too happy" or "too excited." These characteristics could describe anybody with or without bipolar depression and are not clues to abnormal behavior.
There is a significant difference between hypomania and being happy. In this video, I share my experience with impulsive behavior and not punishing myself for being enthusiastic about life.
